SCRIP

 

SCRIP is the equivalent of a gift card, and can be used the same as cash at the specific retailer.  Scrip is available through a central source, Great Lakes Scrip Company, which works with many parochial schools and churches across the nation.

 

Here’s how it works:

 

Great Lakes has purchased gift cards in bulk from hundreds of retailers at a substantial discount. We then purchase these gift cards from Great Lakes at a discount, and in turn our families buy them at full face value.  The discount, from 1.5% to as much as 15% or more is our school’s revenue. 

 

The discounts vary.  Here are just a few:

 

Applebee’s Restaurant…..8%

Chili’s Maggiano’s………..11%

Bath & Body Works………13%

Macy’s…………………………..10%

Home Depot…………………..3%

Lowe’s…………………………….4%

 

Bonus discounts are offered during the year which give us as much

as 8% in addition to what we’re already earning!

Since we all buy groceries, gas, prescriptions, furniture, hardware, appliances and gifts, and we eat out and go to the movies, then we should all support our SCRIP program by

buying gift cards for these everyday needs.

 

You pay face value for the cards and use as cash at the designated retailer OR give as gifts.  By paying nothing extra on every gift card purchase you make, St.Bridget School earns a percentage!  The revenue from this program goes directly to our Building Improvements Fund.

Here’s how to get started:

 

Go to shopwithscrip.com for a one-time enrollment which  requires the following easy steps:

 

·        Click on “Get Started”, then “Register”.

·        Once registered, enter St. Bridget’s enrollment code: 3AD5E93D55L9. 

·        Click on “Join” once registration is complete.

·        Create your own PrestoPay account, an electronic funds transfer system.

·        Click on PrestoPay and enter your checking account information in a secure environment.  Follow step-by-step instructions.

  • In order for your personal checking account to be verified, two amounts of 10¢ or 20¢ will be added to your checking account (by Great Lakes Scrip).
  • Once you see the amounts (in 2-3 days) deposited in your account, you’ll need to go to ShopwithScrip, log in, and click on PrestoPay.
  • In the two empty boxes, enter the amounts that were deposited in your account, and click on “Next”.
  • PrestoPay is now set up and you’re ready to begin.
  • Click on “Order Scrip” to place an order from this page.
  • On completion of your ShopwithScrip order, you may select to pay with PrestoPay, OR send your payment to school.
